Atlas Keeps Going

Picture
As projects go, there are few that have been quite as ambitious as Atlas (that's the working title of course). And it's not the length, there are plenty of people writing much longer books at a much faster pace. Atlas has been ambitious because I had to learn to write fiction.
First I had to learn character. That was fun and it came with alot of dialog. Then I had to learn setting and style, and I got it down, I could nail a scene easily, they were like little poems, they began changed, and ended with a certain specific feeling. Now story and plot are coming into play in a much bigger way than when I had started. I'm having to take this loose collection of good scenes, and this never ending plot, and find my ending, find my story arc, cut the fat and string everything all together. I don't know if I'll end out with a publishable product. I've read very few first novels that were even readable. But you never know, I might get lucky.
