Around this time last year, a friend offered me a job helping with wildlife research in Alabama. I was hesitant at first, just as I was hesitant to do it again this year. The idea of taking time away from my art and writing seemed counter to everything I've been working for. But in the end I can't justify spending less time outside even in the name of art.
So expect to see a little less of my paintings in the coming months. I'll still be making enough art to rotate what I have hanging in galleries. I'll still be finishing Atlas Book 2 and putting my readthrough of book one on youtube. But if I'm a little harder to reach this fall, you'll know it's because I'm in the woods picking up bear poop.
